Hall Information

Little Britain fulfilled a long-time dream in 2004 by building a brand new, 4800 square-foot hall which features:

Little Britain United Church Hall, built in 2004 .

• 140 person capacity
• Ample parking
• Coatroom
• Main floor washrooms
• Kitchen with:
  • one fridge
  • work island
  • bar sink
  • upright freezer
  • outdoor access
  • 2 stoves with ovens
  • three-sink dishwashing area
  • one large commercial cooler
  • retractable window to main hall
• Full accessibility for persons with disabilities
• Three break-out rooms with windows
• Archive room
• Minister's office, administrative office, and general office
• Green ground-water heating/cooling system, energy efficient lighting
• Liquor allowed with Manitoba Liquor Control Commission (MLCC) permit

Rental Rates

• Entire hall for six hours or more..................................................$350.00
• Entire hall for six hours or less....................................................$200.00
• Damage/cleanup deposit for entire hall ........................................$100.00

* Any variance from the above shall be approved by the Little Britain United Church Council.

Weddings

Our minister is available to perform wedding ceremonies. Just contact the minister at (204)757-2489 or send her an e-mail at lbuc@mts.net and arrange a meeting.

She will assist you with the details of your ceremony. All are welcome, including same-gender weddings.

With the approval of the minister, weddings can be performed at Little Britain United Church by other ministers. The church comfortably holds about 100 people, and can hold up to 120.

FEE: $600.00 flat rate includes minister, church and wedding

Funeral and Cemetery

Funerals

Our church and minister are available for funeral services. Contact the minister for details at (204)757-2489 or send her an e-mail at lbuc@mts.net .

Little Britain Cemetery and Columbarium

Little Britain has a large, historic cemetery nestled among mature oaks beside the Red River. The first recorded burial is of Murdock McDonald in 1869.

Columbarium

Little Britain's new columbarium. 

Our new columbarium was completed in September 2009.

It has 64 twelve-inch by twelve-inch by twelve-inch niches.

Columbarium Rates

• Columbarium niche: $1700

This includes engraving and two openings.

Cemetery Plot Rates

Little Britain United Church's historic cemetery.

• Single full: $800
• Double full: $1500

Interment Fees

• Ashes in family plot: $300
• Opening and closing for all interments: $150
  (plus digging of grave site fees, variable)

Marker installation

• Installation fee: $75
